Stephany’s interest in health and fitness began at the early age of three when she entered her competitive gymnastics career. For the next eleven years, she learned the value of conditioning, exercise, and fitness. An injury lead Stephany to pursue the world of dance, but it wasn’t until she discovered Pilates that she realized her true passion.
Pilates has taught her that strength, balance, and alignment can not only make a difference physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. She maintains that to be fully healthy one’s entire being must be in balance; and this can only be achieved through a dynamic integration of the physical body, mind and soul. Stephany believes Pilates can help everyone achieve this balance ~ no matter their gender, age, or body type. She has learned that through Pilates, stress disappears, self-confidence skyrockets, and life, in general, is happier. Stephany believes in always maintaining a positive attitude and making health and fitness a lifestyle choice. It is her desire to share this philosophy with her clients and help guide them along a path toward complete wellness!
Stephany holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Management and an Associate’s Degree in Fitness and Exercise, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Robert Morris University. Stephany has physical therapy experience as a rehabilitation technician, and has a strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, modalities, neuromuscular facilitation, and therapeutic exercises. She has over three years of experience teaching the STOTT PILATES® method in both private studio and health club settings.

STOTT PILATES® certifications are considered the ‘ivy league’ of all Pilates certifications and require years of intensive study, application and observation. Stephany has completed every STOTT PILATES® course required for full certification at Elements in Motion in Chicago, including Essential through Advanced Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Barrel, and Injuries & Special Populations. The STOTT PILATES® Injuries & Special Populations course equipped Stephany with the skills necessary to address a broad range of physical challenges in her clients, such as injuries, health conditions, and pregnancy. These courses also taught her how to perform postural analyses, identify muscular imbalances, and program/modify exercises accordingly. In addition, she has also completed eight workshops, including Functional Anatomy and Biomechanics, as well as three cadaver labs at the University of Chicago.

Stephanie has a passion for helping people achieve full health by nourishing not just their bodies, but their minds and spirits as well. This lead her to pursue her studies at National University of Health Sciences' Oriental Medicine Program.  She looks forward to expanding Core Value Pilates into a comprehensive Health and Wellness Center providing holistic healing through acupuncture, nutrition and massage.
